Lutron Electronics has an immediate opening at our expanding automated window shade facility in Ashland, VA for an Engineering Technician on our 2nd shift. As a member of our Engineering team, you will be part of a diverse team focused on driving continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to grow your career and develop a variety of hands-on computer, electrical, and mechanical skills to solve a variety of unique and challenging problems.

Technicians work in various departments while performing a wide range of responsibilities to support our engineering and manufacturing operations. To assist with your career development, we offer an education reimbursement program so that you can continue your college courses to prepare yourself for additional responsibilities and opportunities within the company.

• Provide ongoing engineering support in the facility related to execution of customer orders
• Support and lead Engineering team initiatives with all production and process-improvement related tasks
• Build, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve product- and process-related tools, equipment, and systems
• Work in our computer systems to access, reference, create, edit, and manage appropriate documentation
• Perform light mechanical and electrical assembly
• Work with other functional teams (Safety, Quality, Materials, Operations, etc.) to complete improvement projects
• Additional technical work as assigned

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related technical field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 
• 3+ years experience as technical resource in manufacturing environment preferred
• Demonstrated history of individual and collaborative problem solving
• Ability to work 2^nd shift (Monday - Friday 2:00pm 10:30pm)
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Experience with power tools preferred
• Strong ability to work independently and communicate effectively
