On Time Fire is a specialist Passive Fire Protection Contractor based in Castle Hill NSW, with over five years of experience delivering installation, inspection, and compliance auditing services across major commercial and infrastructure projects.

As our consultancy division continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated, detail-focused professional to support our Accredited Passive Fire Certifier with auditing, reporting, and compliance documentation.
About the Role
This role is suited to an experienced passive fire professional and combines technical inspection, auditing, and reporting responsibilities within a growing consultancy environment.
You will be auditing passive fire treatments in existing buildings, identifying installed systems, assessing compliance and installation accuracy, and preparing clear documentation with corrective recommendations where required.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in passive fire protection, with the ability to interpret compliance requirements and manufacturer test reports. You will work closely with internal team members and clients to deliver practical, real-world compliance solutions.
This position will suit someone who is confident inspecting passive fire systems, understands technical standards, and can produce clear, structured audit reports that contribute to meaningful compliance outcomes within the built environment.
Key Responsibilities
Audit passive fire protection systems in accordance with the NCC (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards
Review drawings, photographs, and project documentation
Identify non-compliances and assess installation accuracy
Prepare clear, structured written reports and recommendations
Interpret technical standards and manufacturer test reports
Communicate professionally with project stakeholders
Manage documentation and handover processes in line with company procedures
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
Proven experience in passive fire installation and compliance auditing
Strong knowledge of the NCC and Australian Standards, including:
AS 1530.4
AS 1668.1
AS 1682.1 & 1682.2
AS 4072.1
Experience interpreting manufacturer test reports (e.g. Trafalgar, Promat, Firefly, Boss Fire)
High attention to detail with strong accuracy and focus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and digital documentation systems
Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
A reliable, ethical, and methodical approach to work
Ability to work independently
A current Class C Driver’s Licence
