Are you passionate about energy efficiency?
We have an opportunity for you to support various community-centric programs throughout the Midwest. This role will provide an introduction to energy efficiency across the region and will build research, communication, and outreach skills. We are seeking a candidate living in Connecticut with the ability to reach homes and businesses through a variety of communication channels, such as e-mail, Zoom, phone, events, and in-person site visits. Candidates must live in the territory and be passionate about energy efficiency, community engagement, and the environment. We are seeking someone who is a team player and will fill various roles as they are needed.
Position Qualifications:
Based in Connecticut.
Experience in engaging with various community groups.
Experience participating in Connecticut energy-related organizations or events.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Access to internet.
Self-starter who is highly detail-oriented, organized and goal-focused.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to engage with co-workers in a virtual environment.
Ability to appear professional on client calls and in-person meetings.
Willingness to travel for site visits.
Background in energy-efficient technologies preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
Regular visits to small business to communicate the Energize CT Small Business Energy Advantage (SBEA) offering.
Research past participation and high usage customers to determine most strategic outreach plan.
Attend events or conduct small trainings on SBEA.
Support the strategic planning of lead generation as communicated by team members.
Train/educate customers on energy efficiency opportunities.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Interest in the energy efficiency industry.
Confidence in outreach and communication.
Flexibility with hours.
Use of databases for reports and accurate data-entry.
Previous experience working in a virtual environment is helpful but not required.
Physical Efforts:
Sitting or standing for extended periods at a computer; data entry, and proficient typing.
Speak/hear; provide clear, accurate communication and hear a telephone.
Driving up to one hour.
Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50.
