Work closely with Senior Management on the development, approval and implementation of STC submission and approvals. Will assist Engineering Teams in all areas related to modifications of current approvals and new approvals from the FAA and offer engineering support to customers, with emphasis on avionics and electrical engineering.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement electrical designs for aircraft modifications and manufacturing of those integration parts.
Create prototypes, models, and computerized images for design
Develop electrical drawings and perform electrical load analysis, as well as other reports.
Establish timelines and work processes for finished product
Follow all set quality standards and engineering principles and best industry practices
Develop instructions for manuals, assembly instructions, and troubleshooting
Develop and research aerospace & avionic systems for the development of STC approval with the FAA.
Collect and analyze test data related to STC development and approval.
Assist with coordination and submission of projects to FAA.
Work with engineering and QA to estimate project timelines.
Write technical reports and manuals.
Additional Responsibilities:
Continued support of all existing STC installation programs
Onsite prototype support for new STC programs and Major Repair/Major Alterations.
Maintain a strong understanding of FAA regulations, company policies and procedures, aircraft manufacturers manuals, repair station manuals, and other aviation related updates
Review aircraft problems presented by operators or road teams and work with engineering to resolve issues into various modifications and or repair documents such as Engineering Authorizations, Drawings, Manual Revisions and Engineering Reports.
Coordinate with the ‘Chief Inspector – Remote / Repair Station to ensure consistent compliance methods are adhered to at all installation sites.
Qualifications:
BS in Aerospace/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Preferred five (5) years’ experience working electrical engineering programs in aviation/aerospace
Auto-CAD and SolidWorks proficiency
MAC OS, PC, and Microsoft Office proficiency
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and research skills
Detail-oriented and team player
Ability to work assigned tasks autonomously
Working Conditions:
Travel may be required, up to 25%. While traveling, travel costs, housing and per-diem will be paid per the current policies.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $: $90k - $150k Depending on experience
Bonus: At sole discretion of senior management.
Quarterly & Performance Increases: Reviews will be conducted 90 days and every quarter thereafter. Initial pay increases will be heavily weighted on learning the position and becoming independent in the performance of duties.

Retirement / 401K, after one year of service
Sick / personal time: Three (3) days per calendar year; not eligible for carryover
PTO per years of service matrix; up to 40 hours available for carryover annually
