Job Summary of the R&O Quality Inspector
The R&O Quality Inspector is responsible for the Quality Control of the repairs within the 145-repair station. Must adhere to the Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), and all 14 CFR Aviation Regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities of the R&O Quality Inspector
- Train, direct, and assist all inspection personnel performing work under the repair station certificate as directed by the Accountable Manager.
- Ensure the proficiency of every inspector by completing the Inspector Proficiency Checklist Form RSF-211-01.
- Ensure all incoming, hidden damage, preliminary, in-process, and final inspections are performed following the procedures outlined in the manual.
- Respond to any request for inspection of this repair station certificate.
- Determine the final disposition of articles failing to meet the incoming inspection review as directed by the Accountable Manager.
- Ensure appropriate calibrations and checks are made on the tools and equipment used by the repair station as described in the manual.
- Red-tag or placard any malfunctioning or non-functioning equipment.
- Assist Field & Tech Services with aviation technical questions.
- Additional duties as assigned

Required skills/abilities of the R&O Quality Inspector
- Read and understand drawings, manuals (CMMs), work instructions, and schematics.
- Use industry-standard electronics bench test equipment, i.e., Spectrum Analyzer, O-scope, multi-meter, and power supplies.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Proficient with a PC and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Computer and website navigation skills are required.
- Strong Customer service and communication skills
- Phone skills are required, as well as organizational skills
Knowledge, Education, and Experience of the R&O Quality Inspector
- 3+ years of experience working with a QMS
- 3+ years of experience in electronics installation and repair
- Experience dealing with Aviation OEMs is a plus
