Trumbull Corporation is seeking an experienced Quality Control Mechanical Engineer to support the Montgomery Lock & Dam Project in Monaca, Pennsylvania, a major U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) infrastructure project located on the Ohio River navigation system with an estimated 8-year duration.
This is a long-term, full-time position responsible for quality control testing and reporting. This position offers stable, long-term employment on a high-profile federal infrastructure project supporting the U.S. inland waterway system.
Schedule & Compensation
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday - approximately 40 hours per week, with additional overtime available based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for quality control field testing, inspection, and documentation (i.e. concrete testing).
Responsibilities include:
Actively involved in project safety programs.
Assists QC Manager and other project management staff (project managers, superintendents, project engineers, etc).
May be responsible for Maintenance of Traffic on assigned project.
Performs quality control testing and reporting.
Effectively communicates with the project owner(s).
Represents the company with the owner's inspectors.
Maintains required testing certifications.
Travels to jobsites as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or 5 five years of experience supervising mechanical features of work.
Five years (5) of related experience in the construction industry required.
Experience in the inspection and testing of various construction disciplines like Plumbing, Mechanical, and Hydraulic systems required.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to new challenges.
Must be willing and able to travel or relocate as necessary for projects.
Must be willing to work day or night shift pending on the project needs.

Work is performed on and around water within an active inland river navigation pool supporting heavy civil construction operations. Duties involve operating vessels and working aboard towboats, barges, and floating equipment in varying weather and river conditions.
