Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
This position is based on the Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island (http://georgia4h.org/4-h-centers/burton-4-h-center/). Work involves food preparation, serving, and cleaning the food service areas. Employees work under direct supervision while involved in preparation of food, serving, and cleaning.

• Follow written and/or oral procedures and practices and implement procedures, methods, and activities developed by others.

Physical Demands

• High level of activity in a hot kitchen
• Prolonged standing
• Lifting up to 25-50 pounds
• Driving as needed to perform job duties

Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities
Serve food at the dining hall; set up buffet lines and serve individual plates; interact with customers ranging from young children to senior citizens.
Percentage of time 35 Duties/Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize the work area, operate a commercial dishwasher; clean chairs, tables, and service lines; sweep and mop floors; clean windows, baseboards, blinds; walkways and walls of food service building.

Assist cooks in preparing and cooking food; assist with preparation of menu items.
