Position Description
As a Refrigeration Designer or Engineer, youll play a key role in delivering high-quality, innovative refrigeration system designs. Working alongside senior engineers and Project Managers, you will contribute to the full design lifecycle from concept through construction documentation while gaining exposure to complex and large-scale projects.
In this role, youll develop, modify, and review production drawings, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure accuracy across all deliverables. Youll also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and lead design efforts, making this a strong growth opportunity for someone looking to expand their technical leadership skills.
Position Salary Range*
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000to $90,000 annually.
Required Qualifications**
A Bachelors degree or higher education in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5-10 years of job-related experience
Intermediate knowledge of Autodesk MEP Revit, Auto CADD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
In-depth refrigeration system knowledge (standard DX system, CO2 system and advanced hybrid
Ability to lead teams and design efforts for program level clients
High level of Quality control and ability to correct design issues
Client direct communication skills
Preferred Qualifications**
Licensed Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain by comity) in the state of the hiring Cushing Terrell office

Position Responsibilities***
Consult with client to determine functional requirements of new or renovated systems and/or projects and prepare information regarding design, specifications, estimated costs, and construction time
Collaborate with other disciplines to produce preliminary concepts and drawings
Perform necessary research for design of complete systems
Integrate engineering elements into the design for client review and approval
Prepare scale drawings and contract documents for contractors
Completes cost estimates
Select equipment and prepare specifications
Provide basic research to codes and/or jurisdictional requirements
Perform engineering studies and prepare reports
Complete all necessary engineering functions to produce quality construction documents
Site travel and team meetings
Other duties as assigned

*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidates years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
