About the Role
Based in our Head Office at Seven Hills, this role is Fulltime and an exciting opportunity for someone looking to join our business during a critical period of growth.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization by overseeing the technical support, assistance with quote preparation, assembly of fire alarm panels (from time to time), and identification of new electrical products for Firex.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional technical support, over the phone and in the field (as required), to customers on Fire Alarm Panels and related products, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of quotations for fire alarm panels and related products, ensuring pricing and specifications are in line with customer requirements and company guidelines.
- Assembly and/or programming of Fire Alarm Panels from time to time.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, Australian Standards, and regulations to identify new Electrical products that align with Firex's product portfolio and customer needs.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to evaluate potential product offerings, taking into account factors such as pricing, quality, and technical specifications.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to provide product training and technical support, ensuring their understanding of product features and benefits.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop product collateral, including product specifications, datasheets, and user manuals.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to enhance the Company's product offering.
Requirements
What you will bring to the role
Your experience and personality will include:
- Relevant Tertiary qualification and / or relevant FPAS accreditation.
- Successful track record in Senior technical, and customer-facing roles, dealing with fire alarm panels and other electrical products in the fire protection industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm panels and electrical products in the fire protection industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Experience in Fire Alarm Panel assembly, programming and quality control processes.
- Familiarity with relevant Australian standards, codes, and regulations.
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
