Help Macquarie make informed decisions by managing the risks of today and anticipating the risks of tomorrow. As a graduate in our Risk Management Group, you'll contribute to meaningful work across an independent risk function that provides objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting on Macquarie's material risks. You'll build your judgment, technical skills and commercial understanding as you turn complex information into clear insights that support the business.We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. What role will you play?
As a graduate in the Risk Management Group, you'll join Macquarie's independent risk function and begin building the judgment, technical skills and commercial understanding to help teams identify , assess, monitor and manage material risks across a global financial services business. From the outset, you'll take ownership of meaningful work, contribute to objective review and challenge, and develop your ability to turn complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
Depending on your placement, you may join one of the following areas:
- Credit Risk monitors and manages risks arising from lending, financing and trading activities. You could analy s e counterparties, financial statements, transaction structures and industry trends, support credit assessments and approvals, and monitor exposures and portfolio concentrations. You will also work closely with business stakeholders to understand complex transaction structures and associated risks. Opportunities are available in Dublin, Ireland.
- Market Risk works directly with traders and business stakeholders to understand, measure and oversee risks across global financial and commodity markets. You could monitor exposures, review positions and strategies, apply quantitative risk measures and stress testing, and help establish risk limits for new products and activities.
- Model Risk helps ensure the integrity of key financial models used across Macquarie. You could build mathematical models, challenge and assess model methodologies, conduct independent research and communicate findings with colleagues.
- monitoring, analyzing and explaining risk exposures arising from trading, lending and financing activities
- reviewing financial statements, business models, positions, strategies and market or industry trends to identify key risk drivers
- supporting credit assessments, model reviews, stress testing, scenario analysis and risk recommendations
- working with business, trading, legal, operations and risk teams to understand transactions and provide independent review and challenge
- helping enhance risk frameworks, policies, limits, reporting tools and regulatory or governance processes
As a graduate, you will:
- Take part in an orientation to learn about Macquarie business groups, with your fellow analysts and expand your professional network .

You have a unique perspective. We want to hear it. We welcome applications from final - year undergraduate and master's degree students who will graduate in January to July 2027.
- We welcome students from a broad range of degree disciplines. Some placements may be best suited to those studying Mathematics, Philosophy Politics and Economics, F inance, A ccounting, E ngineering or P hysics, with certain Model Risk roles requiring a relevant master's degree.
- You are curious and analytical, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess complex information and draw balanced conclusions.
- You have an interest in financial markets, businesses, regulation and risk, and are confident working with numerical information, financial statements, data or complex regulatory requirements.
- You can communicate complex concepts clearly, collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships.
- You are proactive, attentive to detail and able to manage competing priorities while delivering accurate , high-quality work. An interest in data analytics, technology or AI tools would be beneficial, and you would be comfortable using data and technology tools to enhance risk monitoring, reporting and decision making.
