The City of Lebanon Golf Course is seeking a motivated, hands-on Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our team. Under new ownership this year, the clubhouse and golf course are being transformed and expanded. The golf course irrigation system is being upgraded by Mid-America Golf & Landscape, Inc. over the course of 2026. The city has purchased new 2026 Jacobsen equipment and is undergoing an ambitious agronomy plan. We take pride in the condition of our course and are committed to providing outstanding golf experiences for our city residents, regional golfers, and sportsman visiting nearby Bennett Springs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling, managing, and supporting the maintenance crew.
• Perform daily course setup, hand-watering of greens, chemical and fertilizer applications, irrigation repairs, and staff training.
• Monitor turf health and course conditions, including disease pressure, pests, irrigation concerns, playability, and overall presentation.
• Help lead the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality daily operations.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of golf course maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Pesticide Applicator's License, or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in golf course maintenance
• Strong knowledge of turf management practices and irrigation systems
• Experience with budget management and inventory control
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Valid driver's license
