Description
Assistant Nurse Manager - Medical Surgical Telemetry RN Lead and coordinate clinical operations within a medical surgical telemetry unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery. This role involves managing fiscal resources, human resources, and quality improvement initiatives to support departmental goals. Full Time Plan, organize, and supervise clinical activities to deliver exceptional patient care. Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance service provision. Foster positive professional relationships with interdisciplinary teams. Facilitate team meetings, daily rounds, and communication among patients, families, and care providers. Coordinate patient care services with other departments and community resources. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as JCAHO and OSHA. Maintain adequate staffing levels and ensure staff competency in equipment use. Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities. Provide orientation, ongoing training, and continuing education for staff. Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation. Collaborate with care coordination teams to optimize patient throughput and discharge processes. Monitor customer satisfaction and hospital capacity metrics. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or actively pursuing. Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience and at least 1 year in a management or leadership role. Current Registered Nurse licensure; strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; knowledge of nursing practice regulations and age-specific patient care needs. Ability to communicate effectively, observe patients closely, and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and occasional heavy lifting. May require variable shift work and exposure to infectious materials.
