Job Summary
The Building Construction Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing daily field operations on construction projects. The role oversees subcontractors, coordinates materials and equipment, ensures projects meet quality and safety standards, maintains schedules, and works closely with project managers and engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise daily field operations on construction projects.
Coordinate subcontractors, materials, equipment, and labor resources.
Ensure work complies with project specifications, contract documents, and quality standards.
Promote and enforce jobsite safety and OSHA compliance.
Maintain clean, organized, and efficient construction sites.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and project teams.
Monitor project schedules, productivity, and cost control.
Implement Lean construction practices to improve workflow and efficiency.
Manage construction crews and support successful project completion.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
3–7 years of building construction experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Knowledge of construction scheduling, planning, and cost control.
Experience managing crews and subcontractors.
OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
