Description
Camp Wawenock, a traditional girls’ camp on Sebago Lake in Maine, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team for all or part of our summer season (June 12-August 12). A minimum commitment of two weeks is preferred.
About Us:
We are a close-knit camp community of 100 campers and 40 staff, focused on helping girls build confidence, skills, and leadership.
RN Responsibilities:
Care for ill or injured campers and staff in the Health Center
Run twice-daily clinic hours
Administer and manage medications
Follow Standing Orders from our local Camp Doctor
Maintain digital health records and Health Log
Promote wellness and injury/illness prevention
Respond to emergencies with senior staff support
Transport campers for medical care off site
Abide by American Camp Association Standards and Maine State Licensing Rules
Support:
You’ll work alongside a local physician, part-time nurse, and experienced camp leadership.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting at $1,200/week (based on experience)
Room and board included
Internet, laundry, and recreational opportunities provided

Requirements
Who We’re Looking For:
Registered Nurse, licensed in Maine or a compact state
Caring, responsible individuals who enjoy supporting children and staff
Team-oriented and flexible, able to work in rustic outdoor conditions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude
Experience working with children preferred
