Our client, a Leading Bank, are looking for a Chief Risk Officer to join their Risk team based in London.

Responsibilities below:

• You'll provide legal advice to our growing syndicate business, combining your technical expertise with a strong understanding of our business.
• You'll lead on the legal aspects of mid-sized projects, support complex initiatives, and help monitor and mitigate legal risks.
• This role offers the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders and external advisers, making a real difference in how we manage legal risk and deliver value.
• Working with the CEO and the Board to set the credit, market, operational and prudential risk strategies and develop a clear risk appetite statement, with supporting policies.
• Provide relevant input into the development of the overall business strategy.
• Develop, review, and implement a suitable risk framework and infrastructure with subsequent on-going maintenance and monitoring to ensure continued fitness for purpose.
• Put in place a control framework to highlight risks and ensure the infrastructure is in place to manage and mitigate them.
• Maintenance and implementation of Risk framework/infrastructure, policies, and guidelines.
• Provide oversight and coordination of the Bank's second and third lines of defense.
• Build and lead an effective team by coaching and guiding direct and indirect reports.

Previous experience as a SMF4 / CRO is preferred.
