CNC Machinist
Location – Worcester, MA
Job Description:
A growing manufacturing company looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to produce conveyor component parts to meet customer requirements. POBCO is a well-established family-owned company serving the industries of food / beverage, packaging, agriculture, and more. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines and regular use of planers, lathes, shapers and saws for wood & plastic items. You will be responsible for milling, drilling and turning raw materials into manufactured parts. Previous experience in a similar position is preferred for this role. You will work in a fast-paced environment where quality matters. Physical labor, heavy lifting is often required.
Schedule – Monday to Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, overtime is often required.
Salary - $25-$40 an hour based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities:
- The CNC Machinist will set up and operate CNC and Manual turning, milling, and machine tools
- Using blueprints and technical drawings to machine products from various materials (wood, plastic, ferrous and non-ferrous metals)
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments
- Work collaboratively with Production Team & Sales Dept.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- CAD experience required
- Fanuc, SolidWorks, CAMWorks experience required
- 5+ years’ experience preferred, GED/HS diploma or college degree
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Able to lift heavy weight, carry at least 50 lbs. and move, pull or push materials of this magnitude. Able to stand for long periods.
- Must be committed to high-quality work standards and be detail oriented
- Candidates should have a strong work ethic and work well as part of a team
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints & technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers & micrometers
- The understanding of and programming ability to use conversational software to operate a lathe.
