Description
Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an expert in the field of composites manufacturing to fill a contract position. The term of the position is expected to be 6 months and fully remote with the exception of specific tasks found in the SOW (definition of "hybrid" workplace requirements to be provided in SOW, available upon request after being engaged by Honeywell Aerospace for an introductory phone call).
The selected candidate will be engaged to consult to provide leadership within the Engineering and Supply Chain organizations with recommendations for both improving existing composite part production as well as strategies for expanding composite material and manufacturing technology utilization within current and future products.
The selected candidate will work closely with Engineering and Supply Chain focals assigned to composite products in order to develop the recommendations eventually provided to Engineering and Supply Chain organization leaders.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Composites manufacturing experience (10+ years at 2+ companies)
Thermoset resins including:
Epoxy (mandatory)
Phenolic (mandatory)
Bismaleimide (mandatory)
Polyimide (preferred)
Manufacturing processes:
Hand layup with Autoclave (mandatory)
Hand layup OOA (mandatory)
Compression Molding (mandatory)
RTM (mandatory)
VARTM (preferred)
ATL/AFP (preferred)
Thermoplastic thermoforming (preferred)
Thermoplastic welding (preferred)
Composites product/part manufacturing troubleshooting experience (mandatory)
Composites manufacturing facility improvement and/or establishment experience (mandatory)
Composites product development experience (preferred)
Leadership roles in Aerospace manufacturing organization(s)
Manufacturing (mandatory)
Portfolio examples of gaining company leadership support/funding for
Recovery of “at-risk” composite parts
New product/technology development and implementation
Engineering (preferred)
