The Director of Financial Reporting is a leadership role responsible for overseeing is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end financial reporting function in a dynamic mining and development organization. This position combines deep expertise in corporate controllership, treasury, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), cost optimization, and operational finance to deliver accurate, compliant, and strategic financial insights. You will be a trusted advisor to the executive team, combining controllership rigor with strategic financial leadership to support the company’s mission in the mining sector.

This position reports to the CFO. The preferred location is Lead, South Dakota; however, the role may be based in another city with a direct flight to Rapid City, provided the incumbent spends a minimum of 25% of their time in Lead. Requirements

• Professional accounting designation required: CPA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (advanced degree or additional certifications considered an asset).
• 12+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, controllership, treasury, with significant exposure in the mining, metals, or natural resources sector.
• Proven track record in senior finance positions including, Corporate Controller, Operations Controller, Director of Treasury, or equivalent, with hands-on experience in budget processes, financial modeling, cost optimization, and supply chain management.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale financial operations, including external audits, and stakeholder reporting.
• Strong technical expertise in financial planning & analysis, treasury management, zero-based budgeting, Life-of-Mine modeling, working capital optimization, and procurement/contracting strategies.
• Experience with ERP systems, advanced financial reporting tools, and data analytics; familiarity with mining-specific financial and operational metrics is highly preferred.
