Allegheny County (PA) Director of HR Opportunity

Allegheny County is recruiting a self-motivated leader and Director of HR who works with vision and purpose to better the employee experience for each team member in the organization. Following Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato’s AGH H.I.R.E.S Executive Order, the County is embarking on an ambitious reorganization of our human resources functions, creating a single consolidated department and adding or strengthening units for benefits management, compensation, employee engagement, employee relations, HRIS, investigations, and recruitment. 

Reporting to the County Manager, and with the full backing of County leadership, the new HR Director will have the support to staff and build this new department, shape it into a successful unit of county government, and be a key organizational leader in an inclusive and supportive workplace of choice for current and prospective county employees. The ideal candidate has seven plus years of HR or HR-related experience, with at least five years of executive experience and is an excellent communicator.
