This is a rare opportunity to build a risk management framework from the ground up, working closely with senior leadership. You will play a critical role in shaping risk governance, regulatory engagement, and enterprise-wide risk strategy in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact with regulators, building strong and strategic relationships
• Collaborate with the CRO and senior stakeholders to define and execute risk management strategy
• Lead governance activities including committee management and reporting
• Enhance frameworks across Risk Appetite Framework (RAF), capital management, and stress testing
• Strengthen enterprise-wide risk governance and control frameworks
• Bridge regulatory requirements with business strategy across the organisation

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise risk management within financial services
• Strong knowledge of Japanese regulatory frameworks and risk/compliance structures
• Proven experience working in large financial institutions or investment banking in Japan

Soft Skills:

• Strong ownership and ability to drive initiatives independently
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Strategic thinking with strong execution capability
• Deep understanding of equities and trading business environments

Language Requirements:

• English: Fluent
• Japanese: Native level

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in building or transforming risk frameworks in new or evolving organisations
• Exposure to global regulatory environments and cross-border risk management
