Description
OverviewFull-time Equipment Operator position at East Potomac Golf Course in Washington, DC. The role supports daily golf course maintenance operations and offers an opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow within a hospitality-focused property organization.
Experience Required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate all equipment used in daily course maintenance.
- Mow greens, tees, aprons, approaches, fairways, and rough areas, including inaccessible areas with gang mowers.
- Operate sod cutter and spray rigs and assist in fertilization of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and related areas.
- Maintain gasoline or diesel, oil, and other equipment fluid levels daily.
- Report equipment problems and failures to the mechanic immediately.
- Install detailed irrigation and drainage systems as directed and understand installation principles and procedures.
- Use and understand the operation of a transit, level, or other device used to construct proper grades and/or layout.
- Use loaders to remove dirt, debris, and other materials and refuse.
- Return equipment to the designated maintenance facility location properly cleaned and serviced as directed.
- Oversee other maintenance associates while performing equipment operation duties and ensure safety and proper operation.
- Operate equipment safely and maintain awareness of other associates in the work area.
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
- Perform other duties as required.
