Description
Financial Crime Manager - Risk AssessmentsI'm working with a leading Investment Management firm looking to appoint a Financial Crime Risk Assessment Manager to play a key role in enhancing and embedding its Financial Crime Risk Assessment Framework.
This isn't a BAU Financial Crime role. It's an opportunity to help shape how Financial Crime risk is assessed across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders and external advisers to deliver a robust, risk-based framework.
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the design, enhancement and ongoing development of the firm's Financial Crime Risk Assessment Framework, ensuring it remains proportionate, effective and aligned to regulatory expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Enhancing the Business-Wide Financial Crime Risk Assessment methodology.
- Developing and maintaining Risk Assessment methodologies, Controls Libraries and Risk & Controls Frameworks.
- Supporting Product Risk Assessments.
- Assessing inherent and residual Financial Crime risks.
- Measuring and evidencing Control Effectiveness.
- Producing meaningful MI and reporting for senior stakeholders, Committees and the Board.
- Coordinating periodic Risk Assessment reviews and driving continuous improvement across the framework.
The business is currently working alongside a top consulting firm to redesign its Financial Crime Risk Assessment Framework, so this is an excellent opportunity to join during a period of significant change and help shape the future state.
About You
You'll ideally have experience:
- Designing or significantly enhancing Business-Wide Risk Assessments.
- Developing Financial Crime Risk Assessment methodologies.
- Building Controls Libraries and assessing Control Effectiveness.
- Producing MI that supports senior decision making.
- Managing and influencing senior stakeholders across the business.
Experience within Investment Management, Wealth Management or Asset Management would be advantageous, although candidates from other regulated Financial Services environments with relevant BWRA experience will also be considered.
Equally important is your ability to build relationships. This role requires someone who enjoys working collaboratively with senior stakeholders and can confidently influence and challenge where appropriate.
The Opportunity
The firm is undergoing a broader transformation of its Financial Crime operating model and leadership team, making this an excellent opportunity to influence the future direction of the Financial Crime framework within a collaborative environment.
