This isn't a traditional HR role. As the on-site Talent Lead in our Kansas City Distribution Center, you'll serve as a trusted advisor, culture champion, and catalyst for organizational excellence. You'll partner closely with operations leaders to build high-performing teams, navigate change, strengthen engagement, and ensure every Team Member feels cared for, challenged, and valued.

Requirements
Be a Catalyst for Culture and Engagement
- Drive employee engagement across all departments, serving as a trusted resource for Team Members while helping cultivate a culture that reflects Chick-fil-A Supply's values of care, safety, and excellence.
- Provide employee relations support, conduct investigations as needed, and partner with leaders to address workplace concerns with professionalism, sound judgment, and care.
- Build relationships throughout the Distribution Center by spending time in the operation, listening to Team Members, and helping create a positive and engaging workplace experience.
Partner with Leaders to Drive Business Results
- Advise and support leaders on employment-related matters, including performance management, team morale, workplace accommodations, policy interpretation, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Partner with the Regional Talent Leader and Legal team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements while supporting organizational objectives.
- Monitor workforce trends, compensation insights, and key people metrics to provide recommendations that support business needs and continuous improvement.
Attract and Develop Great Talent
- Support the Regional Talent Leader in executing recruitment initiatives, workforce planning activities, interview coordination, and onboarding efforts to ensure the Distribution Center is staffed with the talent needed to achieve operational goals.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, talent development initiatives, and learning opportunities that support Team Member growth and leader effectiveness.
Support Operational Excellence
- Oversee employee records and HR systems administration, ensuring data accuracy while compiling and analyzing workforce metrics and key performance indicators.
- Manage payroll administration for the Distribution Center and provide hands-on support to Team Members and leaders, including resolving payroll, systems access, and HR process-related questions.
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed to support the evolving needs of the operation.
Minimum Qualifications
We're seeking a people-focused HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys balancing relationship building, problem solving, and day-to-day HR execution in a warehousing environment.
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience
- 3+ years supporting operations in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, warehousing environments
- Experience advising leaders on employee relations, performance management, and workplace policies
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving employee concerns
- Ability to influence and build productive relationships across all levels of an organization
- Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, and talent development initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as business needs require
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight travel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
We're looking for a people-focused HR professional who enjoys balancing culture, leadership partnership, and operational execution. This role is ideal for an experienced HR Generalist, Human Resources Manager, Talent Manager, or Human Resources Business Partner who understands that creating a great Team Member experience requires both strategic influence and attention to detail.
- Bring 7+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years supporting distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse operations
- Have strong experience in employee relations, investigations, performance management, and coaching leaders through complex people matters
- Be passionate about building culture, fostering engagement, and creating an environment where Team Members feel valued, supported, and connected
- Enjoy serving as a trusted partner to leaders while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day work of HR
