Description

At one of the world's most iconic financial institutions, where infrastructure is of paramount importance, you can play a pivotal role.As a Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platforms - DSS Infrastructure Data and Payments line of business, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.
Job responsibilities
- Apply technical expertise and structured problem-solving to projects of moderate scope
- Drive a workstream or project across one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Partner with other platforms to architect and implement changes to resolve issues and modernize processes
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot solutions for problems of moderate complexity
- Assess upstream/downstream system and data impacts and advise on mitigation actions
- Support a 24/7 operational model and handle P1 and P2 incidents using innovative troubleshooting approaches
- Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience
- Deep knowledge in one or more infrastructure engineering domains (hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, performance)
- Demonstrated troubleshooting experience across infrastructure platforms with hands-on database and Linux administration skills
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, Cassandra, Oracle, CockroachDB, and networking
- Deep expertise in one specific infrastructure technology plus scripting skills (e.g., Python)
- Motivation to continuously build technical and cross-functional knowledge beyond the product
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Experience identifying and resolving public cloud issues and driving service improvement plans

- Ability to initiate and implement ideas to solve business problems
- Passion for learning new technologies and driving innovative solutions.
