Description
OverviewEau Claire Golf and Country Club is excited to announce a part-time opportunity for a Lifeguard. Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong attention to safety, professionalism, and a commitment to providing a positive and secure pool environment for members and guests.
Compensation: $13-15 per hour + $20-40 per hour for swim lesson instruction
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors swimmers and pool activities to promote a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Responds to minor injuries and medical situations using approved first aid procedures.
- Supports general cleanliness and organization of locker rooms, bathrooms, and pool facilities.
- Assists with swim clinics and private lessons as scheduled.
- Applies pool rules and conduct guidelines with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Performs basic pool maintenance, including chemical checks and vacuuming, as assigned.
- Reviews first aid supplies and requests replenishment when needed.
- Helps organize and supervise pool activities and games.
- Removes debris from the pool surface and surrounding areas as needed.
- Assists with end-of-day pool area organization and preparation.
- Maintains required records in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Practices safe and responsible work habits.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience preferred.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and applicable Water Safety/Instructor Certifications required.
Additional Qualifications:
- Dependable availability during the pool season.
- Knowledge of basic sanitation standards and applicable health codes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
