Description

• Set up, adjust and operate tracer lathes, cutoff saw and miscellaneous machining equipment to perform a variety of machining operations of a roughing nature and standardized work to close tolerances. 
• Speeds, feeds and operational sequences usually established but operator may adjust or modify within standard machining practice. 
• Work from routings, process sheets and blueprints to perform roughing operations. Select tools to meet requirements and operating conditions. 
• Ensure heat number traceability. 
• Initiate process change requests and maintain accurate records of operations. 
• Perform machine clean-outs and other general labor as needed.

• General knowledge of machining practices.
• Minimum of 1 year CNC machining knowledge. 
• Knowledge of shop math and blueprints. 
• Experience with precision measuring instruments. 
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. and perform repetitive, heavy pushing and pulling.
