Position Overview

Lighthouse Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 2-Axis / 3-Axis CNC Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components that meet strict aerospace quality standards.    

 
Key Responsibilities

Perform machine setups and operate 2-axis and/or 3-axis CNC machines
Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Ensure parts meet tight tolerance requirements and aerospace specifications
Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
Make offset adjustments and minor program edits as needed
Perform deburring, cleaning, and finishing of machined parts
Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
Follow all safety protocols and quality standards, including AS9100 requirements
Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve issues
 

Requirements

Qualifications

2+ years of CNC machining experience (2-axis and/or 3-axis preferred)
Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environment strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
Familiarity with tight tolerance machining
Experience performing full or partial setups
Proficiency with inspection tools and techniques
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
 
Preferred Skills

Experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
Knowledge of G-code editing
Understanding of AS9100 quality systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
