Shift: 2nd (Second)
Pay: $26.24
Essential Duties:
- Will work with experienced maintenance technicians to perform repair or rework on machines or equipment in different areas of the plant.
- May perform basic preventive maintenance operations for varying machines or areas.
Skills and qualifications required including but not limited to the following:
- Ability to read, write and communicate clearly with supervision and fellow employees.
- Must have the ability to read and understand Standard Operating Instructions (SOI's), work instructions, and safety signs and instructions.
- Must be able to perform basic shop math, (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, etc.).
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision when necessary and be able to organize and complete tasks assigned by supervisor or lead.
- Knowledge and ability to use basic gages needed to perform job functions including inspection tools, (tape measure, calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.), and pyrometry tools, (temperature gages, pyrometers, IR gages etc.).
- Must be able to read basic blueprints and follow written instructions to verify machine or operating requirements.
- Must have normal vision or correctable to perform some job tasks.
- Must be able to follow company and OSHA safety regulations and must be able to set a good example for other employees.
- Requires the ability to work as a team member, in varied situations, and with a wide variety of people.
- May be required to work in maintenance groups of two or more to perform group repair work.
Education & Experience:
- High school education or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a maintenance capacity or related work.
- Texas Driver's License.
- Forklift operator's license, Note- In order to receive and maintain forklift operator's license operator must pass the forklift operator's license tests as administered through the Paligen Technologies program.
Work environment:
- Elevated temperatures, thick smoke, dirt and grease.
- Physically able to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Handling materials up to 900 degrees with proper tools.
- High-paced production environment to meet standards.
Requirements:
- Background Investigation / Drug Screen / US Person: Required.
