Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
As the Manager, Supply Chain Planning, you will manage the development, implementation and operation of a supply stream.

What You Will Do:
- Developing, implementing, and managing complex supply chain streams within global reach.
- Managing relationships and processes with customer manufacturing sites to ensure adequate product supply to meet inventory strategies. Providing support for new customer set-up.
- Establishing effective linkages, partnerships, and best practices with clients, business partners and internal functions.
- Performing analysis of supply chain trends, sales, forecast, on-time-delivery, and inventory strategies and recommending improvements to the supply chain performance.
- Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.
What You Have (Basic Requirements):
• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
• Cross-Team Integration: Understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
• Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
• Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
• Supply Chain Management - MFG: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.
What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience in Inventory Management and Control, Purchasing, Parts Distribution and/or Supply Chain/Logistics.
- Lean and/or 6 Sigma Black Belt Certification/Experience.
- APICS CPM or CSCP National Certification.
- Ability to develop and deploy creative/original solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to establish and monitor policies and guidelines.

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
