Description

T.P.I. is a locally owned, full service, code consultant in the Chicagoland area. T.P.I. is made up of a diverse team of Master Code Professionals, CBO's, Building Inspectors, Electrical Inspectors, Certified Illinois Plumbing Inspectors, Code Enforcement, Engineers, and Permit Techs. We are seeking a full time Certified Building Official to join our team. This position will be to perform commercial/residential building, mechanical and electrical inspections and plan reviews for one or more municipalities each day.

Requirements

Must have ICC certifications for one or more: Residential/Commercial ICC Building, Electrical, Mechanical Inspector.

CBO or Master Code Professional preferred.

Strong knowledge of the Code.

Ability to perform Building/Electrical/HVAC inspections and plan reviews for residential and commercial projects per the code.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Illinois Drivers License.

Must pass background check.
