Description
The Systems Mechanobiology Lab, led by Dr. Will Richardson, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join our team’s exciting efforts related to cardiac tissue remodeling and personalized medicine. Our group is building computational models of biochemical reaction networks as well as experimental tissue culture bioreactors in order to better understand the bio-chemo-mechano-systems that regulate heart tissue structure. Combining computational models, data science, and in vitro screening tools, our overarching mission is to engineer personalized medicine approaches for combatting heart disease.
Summary of Job Duties
Collaborating closely with Dr. Richardson and students in our group, the postdoctoral researcher will help develop new computational models that integrate molecular reaction networks with AI/ML algorithms in order to predict patient-specific cardiac remodeling and heart disease outcomes across human -omic datasets. In addition, the postdoctoral researcher will be expected to present research findings through journal publications and conference presentations.
