Description
HOB Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to support our precision metal-stamping operation.
This position is responsible for inspecting parts, documenting results, identifying and communicating quality concerns, and performing internal process audits to ensure established procedures are being followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform receiving, first-piece, in-process, final, and dock inspections.
- Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, appearance, workmanship, and conformance to drawings and specifications.
- Use micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, inspection fixtures, and other measuring equipment.
- Perform visual inspections for burrs, cracks, deformation, contamination, finish concerns, mixed parts, and other defects.
- Read and interpret drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
- Review production and inspection records for accuracy, completeness, identification, and traceability.
- Document inspection results and audit findings accurately.
- Communicate quality concerns promptly to production, tooling, supervisors, and management.
- Assist with nonconforming material, corrective actions, containment, and quality-system audits.
Requirements
- Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience.
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to read manufacturing drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping skills.
- Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, and electronic quality or manufacturing systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify concerns, question processes when necessary, and communicate findings professionally.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment and lift up to 30 lbs.
