Compliance & Risk Manager

$130,000 - $150,000 + Super + Discretionary Bonus
Sydney CBD | Full-Time | 5 Days in Office

This is an opportunity for an ambitious Compliance & Risk professional to join a growing financial services business and play a key role in strengthening governance, risk frameworks and compliance processes.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will have the autonomy to influence how the business manages risk, improve operational processes and embed a strong compliance culture across the organisation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on environment, working across multiple areas of financial services rather than being limited to one specialist function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage compliance and risk activities across the organisation
• Maintain and enhance policies, procedures, controls and risk frameworks
• Provide compliance guidance to internal stakeholders and senior leadership
• Monitor regulatory obligations and support ASIC, APRA and AUSTRAC requirements
• Maintain compliance registers, reporting and governance documentation
• Coordinate risk meetings, audits and compliance activities
• Support business continuity planning and risk management processes
• Review customer-facing materials to ensure regulatory compliance
• Deliver compliance training and promote strong risk awareness
• Manage relationships with external advisers and service providers

About You

You will be an experienced Compliance & Risk professional with a background in financial services and a strong understanding of governance, controls and regulatory obligations.

You will bring:

• Experience across compliance and risk management within financial services
• Strong knowledge of ASIC, APRA and AUSTRAC requirements
• Ability to build and improve frameworks, policies and processes
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously

Desirable Experience

Experience within:

• Wealth management or investment services
• Superannuation
• Lending or broader financial services environments
• Organisations operating under an AFSL
