Role Purpose

The Risk Manager will support the enterprise risk management framework for a non-bank lender, covering credit, operational and regulatory risk, helping the business grow sustainably while maintaining a sound risk and control environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and embed the enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite and taxonomy
• Support credit risk oversight, including portfolio monitoring, arrears trends and provisioning input
• Facilitate risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) across business units
• Manage incident and issue registers, including root cause analysis and remediation tracking
• Prepare risk papers and reporting for Risk Committee and Board
• Partner with Compliance, Credit and Operations teams to identify and mitigate emerging risks
• Support regulatory and funder due diligence processes relating to risk management practices
• Contribute to stress testing and scenario analysis for the lending portfolio

Skills & Experience

• 4+ years' experience in a risk role within non-bank lending, consumer/commercial credit or broader financial services
• Solid understanding of credit risk fundamentals and portfolio risk indicators
• Experience running RCSAs and managing risk/incident registers
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with portfolio and risk data
• Confident report writing for senior stakeholders and Board committees
• Relevant tertiary qualification in risk, finance, commerce or related field

Desirable

• Experience with warehouse/funder reporting requirements
• Exposure to responsible lending and NCCP-related risk considerations
• GAICD or FRM/other risk management certification
• Background in asset finance, mortgage or SME lending portfolios
