Description
about the job.- Identify and participate in compliance risk management, conduct compliance evaluations and investigations, and formulate robust compliance plans, standards, and objectives.
- Assist in liaising with local regulators, coordinate the bank's response to regulatory inspections, maintain reporting obligations, and resolve complex inquiries.
- Track key regulatory changes and act as the primary compliance liaison for multiple business units.
- Update and improve compliance documents to ensure they accurately reflect current regulations, industry best practices, and any changes in the bank's business structure and activities.
- Complete periodic reports, statements, and assessments, proactively following up on matters required by the HKMA, SFC, and other regulatory bodies.
skills & experience required.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6-8 years of working experience in compliance within the banking industry.
- Well-versed in HKMA, SFC, and other banking-related legislation and regulatory guidelines.
- Hands-on exposure to working and liaising directly with regulatory bodies.
- Excellent prioritisation, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
