Requires skills and experience to involve: Strong background with Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure. Excellent programming and software design skills in C++/C or Python. Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Services (GCS). Demonstrated experience working on large codebases and software systems. Demonstrated experience with data management systems.
Job duties: The Senior Software Engineer position will Design and develop autonomous vehicle software system validation pipeline for Aurora’s perception model. Confer with model team and data analysts to evaluate robotic systems and determine project limitations, capabilities and performance requirements. Support perception components like model team, data analysis team to evaluate perception system’s performance. Work closely with perception components teams and Project Manager to design new features for the autonomous vehicle system and be responsible for the robotic software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Accelerate model development and improve autonomy capabilities via advanced systems and algorithmic development. Design, implement, test, and maintain dynamic and interactive autonomy subsystem evaluation frameworks. Create large-scale data analysis tools to discover changes in Autonomy behavior. Measure the impact of autonomy code changes for interesting cases. Modify software involving mathematical concepts and scientific measurements.
