Overview

Bally's Golf Link at Ferry Point in Bronx, NY is seeking a Superintendent to contribute to a positive experience for members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations.

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree (BA) in Agronomy preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five to ten years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience leading a team as Head Golf Course Superintendent preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• State Pesticide Applicator License required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop budgeting and capital plans and manage department expenses in accordance with property directives.
• Provide timely and accurate financial and non-financial reporting as directed or required by the President.
• Implement golf course maintenance standards and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay current on agronomic information and oversee chemical and fertilizer mixing, calibration, and application.
• Ensure associates obtain proper training and licenses to perform duties safely and within regulations.
• Maintain awareness of agronomic activity on the course and provide feedback and direction to staff.
• Promote effective communication within the department and across departments.
• Provide leadership and foster teamwork, communication, ethical behavior, cleanliness, and a positive attitude.
• Develop, train, coach, discipline, and mentor managers and staff.
• Interview, hire, train, assign work, evaluate performance, reward, and discipline associates while resolving complaints and problems.
• Ensure effective orientation for new associates and develop ongoing training programs.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
