We have an unfilled position at UF Health Jacksonville and encourage you to apply if interested for this current 2026-2027 academic year.
This one-year program is accredited by the ACGME and is completed at the 696-bed teaching hospital graduating two fellows each year. The hospital's 28 bed trauma/surgical intensive care unit and adult and pediatric trauma center resuscitates 4,500 Northeast Florida and South Georgia patients each year.
Fellows gain experience in the delivery of critical care to severely injured & critically ill patients. Fellows are also exposed to instruction in the process of administration and management of critical care units &contribute to the education of members of the critical care team. Fellows actively participate in our ongoing research programs. We are the only trauma center providing ECMO & MARS services in the region. Additionally, we see ~1500 EGS admits annually.

The UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville is the largest of the three colleges at the Health Science Center Jacksonville. Requirements
American Board of Surgery certified or American board of Surgery eligible (must have completed 5 years of ACGME accredited General Surgery residency prior to start of fellowship). American Osteopathic Board of Surgery eligibility and/or certification is also acceptable. Unfortunately, no visa sponsorships are offered at this time. A full Florida license will be required on the fellowship start date, however, is not required at time of application.
