Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Fort Madison, IA Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,272 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/15/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Fort Madison, Iowa, 52627! ID: 77442449 Shift: 06:00 PM-06:30 AM Description: *TRAVELER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELF-STUDYING TELEMETRY STRIPS UPON ACCEPTANCE AND A BASIC DYSRHYTHMIA TEST OUT WILL BE GIVEN FIRST WEEK OF ASSIGNMENT. THIS MUST BE PASSED IN ORDER TO WORK ON OUR TELEMETRY/MED SURG UNIT. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high quality care to the following patient populations: Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry. ACLS and NIH Required. Previous Epic Experience required.While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Unit Description: Estimated Hours per week 36. Telemetry Ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights Floating is a requirement in ACU is always required for any non-critical care inpatient units including to the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. EMR is Epic. Traveler will be responsible for self-studying Telemetry strips upon acceptance, and a Basic Dysrhythmia test out will be given first week of assignment. This must be passed in order to work on our Telemetry/Med Surg unit.
