About Our Client

A Global Investment Bank is hiring a Valuation Risk Controller to join their team. Candidates with market risk, fixed income products, or product control knowledge are welcome to apply.

Job Description

• Perform monthly Independent Price Verification (IPV) for credit products, including bonds, loans, CDS, CLNs, and other illiquid instruments.
• Liaise with traders to discuss valuation results and methodologies.
• Review valuation and risk models in partnership with model development teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Support regulatory reporting and related initiatives.
• Monitor market developments and assess their impact on portfolios and the firm.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Good understanding of financial markets and products, particularly credit products.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with good Excel proficiency.
• Experience in credit valuation, market risk, fixed income products, or product control is an advantage.
